The Millennium and Beyond

    After all the calamities of the coming of Christ the Millennium will begin (for information on the Second Coming refer the Gospel Principles Chp. 44), and for a thousand years all will be at peace.  For many Christians across the world they believe in such a thing, yet many still may ask why this span of time?  As we teach in our church, and as found in the scriptures, the Millennium is exactly that a thousand years of peace after which peace will be disrupted but for a time.

    But what are we to do with our time during those thousand years?  I can't see myself lying in the sun on the beach and relaxing (quite frankly that'd get boring).  We will be doing the ordinance work, for those who have passed on, in the temple (Gospel Principle Chp. 45).  In this way we may be able to bring everyone, who will accept, to the Kingdom of God as a united family.
    And I know that this is true.
