Hercules Can!

We have all heard bits and pieces of the mythical Hercules story, in movies, comics, books etc.  But there's one part I'd like to focus on and that's the twelve labors.  Hercules had made some mistakes, so bigs ones at that and he wanted to make up for these in whatever way he could.  An Oracle commanded him to place himself as a servant of King Eurystheus, a representative of Hera (Hercules' mother).  Under the King's service, he was to serve him for twelve years, and the ending total being twelve individual labours.  All twelve were considered to be impossible, and the hardest tasks any man could be asked to accomplish.  But Hercules was more than ordinary, from slaying the Nemean Lion, to cleaning Augean stables in one day, to capturing Cerberus and bringing the dog from the Underworld, he proved he was extraordinary.  And by doing so he was greatly rewarded by his father with immortality and a bride by his mother.

This is similar to our lives, sometimes the Lord asks things of us that seem impossible, but with His help we can accomplish anything!  We've all had those struggles of faith and obedience where we felt we couldn't accomplish the task at hand, but if we strive to be obedient and to follow the commandments the Lord will provide a way.
